Celebration of Service

We kick off our 2025 spring news with a celebration of service. This April, we said a huge congratulations and well deserved thank you to 2 members of our staff. Elizabeth has spent 6 years with Red Deer Village as our wonderful receptionist. Elizabeth has a great knack for interior design, and is responsible for dressing all of our lovely new residential park homes for sale! We also celebrated Peter, who has been with us for 2 years now. Peter is a member of our maintenance and gardening team. He takes on the task of ensuring our park is kept beautiful for all of our guests and residents. Thank you to both Elizabeth and Peter for the great work you do.

Welcome to Red Deer Village

We would like to say a massive welcome to Jackie and James Robb who have joined us here at Red Deer Village. Jackie and James had this to say about their experience so far of the village:

“We’d like everyone to know how much we LOVE living at Red Deer Village. We’ve never felt so relaxed and happy as we do now! Everyone we’ve met have been super friendly and welcoming. It’s literally the BEST move we’ve ever made❤️. To anyone considering moving into Red Deer, do it!! It’s a move you’ll NEVER regret 🤗…”

We’re so happy they are enjoying being a part of the community and have settled in nicely! Jackie and James are our newest residents, moving into the latest phase 4 development. Essential Life-Saving Skills

On Friday 11th April, all of our staff completed their Emergency First Aid at Work training, provided by David from Wallace Cameron Training. Essential skills were learned, such as how to assess someones needs, perform CPR and use a defibrillator.

With so many guests and residents staying with us here at Red Deer Village, it is important to us that our staff are confident in caring for someone in an unfortunate circumstance, should it be necessary.

Red Deer Village Team Growth

Some exciting spring news for 2025 – we have welcomed 4 new members to the team at Red Deer Village. We have been joined by Megan and Harry, who have taken on the role of Park Wardens and oversee the running of Red Deer Village Holiday Park. We have a new member of the Housekeeping Team, Isla, who works alongside Betty ensuring all of our holiday homes are kept immaculate for our guests. Lastly we have Jasmine, who has joined the Office Team and is responsible for the advertising of our beautiful Village. Pictured below are Harry and Megan with their dog, Pablo!

Neighbour Nights

Each month, our residents host a schedule of events, namely bingo, quiz and social nights, in support of our charity of the month. This year, these events are led by two of our residents, Val and Kenny. These events have done a wonderful job of contributing to our overall charity totals raised each month. Some photos of our social nights are below!

Community First – Spring 2025 Donations

In 2025 so far, from our residents’ bingo nights and from our donation tins, we have raised £220.11. We are delighted to be able to share that in January, we were able to gift the Salvation Army with the £39.40 raised for them.

At our February bingo night, an amazing £34.50 was raised for Scottish SPCA. This brought the total for the month to £74.59. In March, £20 was raised for Help For Heroes at the residents’ bingo night, raising the total to an amazing £68.12. In April for Make a Wish, our residents’ bingo raised an incredible £38. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to find out the total raised for Make a Wish by the end of the month. Thank you to Val & Kenny for all the hard work and organisation you do!

Gardening Season

This year, we are delighted to be hosting our third gardening competition at Red Deer Village. The competition will be independently judged by our expert gardeners. Gardens will not only be judged on their aesthetic appeal, but also on habitat provided through the use of different flower species. as this is something we consider in all of our landscaping efforts. There will also be an award for the most transformed garden. The winner will be announced in June. You can stay up to date with the competition by following along on our Facebook page, where we will be posting regular updates. Good luck to all of our residents, we can’t wait to see your works of art!
