The heart of the Red Deer Village community

The social benefits of retirement communities are well documented and we wanted to create a relaxing environment where residents could spend time away from their park homes getting to know their neighbours and enjoying village life.

Red Deer Village Directors, John and Ivan Hendry have spent much of their lives living and working abroad and wanted to emulate the parks they saw on their travels in Australia, Canada and the USA.

Community events

Red Deer Village residents are in charge of developing their own action packed events programme, and this wonderful new community space has hosted a variety of events in it’s first year. Our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning was a resounding success and our Christmas lights switch on was a wonderful evening enjoyed by all. A weekly knitting bee is held in the hub as well as regular movie nights and beetle drives.

Stunning design

Our on site interior designer, Ashleigh worked hard to create a stylish and functional space that could be enjoyed by residents of Red Deer Village. She selected a subtle colour palette of greys and earth tones and used fabrics from Scottish mills, to create a comfortable and homely space. Voyage soft furnishings are used throughout to reflect our Scottish heritage alongside natural materials such as wood and slate. The hub was constructed by Pathfinder homes, using low carbon emission and sustainable materials – something we care deeply about at Red Deer.

Patio seating area

The outside patio area is a popular spot on a warm and sunny day. Sit back, relax and enjoy sipping on a cold drink whilst reading the paper in this quiet area. We have hosted numerous outdoor events here, including a hog roast.

We are immensely proud of what we have created with our brand new visitors hub. We invite perspective buyers to experience this wonderful space and meet with us for a tour of Red Deer Village. Please contact us to arrange a viewing.
