Process of Purchasing a Park Home at Red Deer Village

After selecting one of our luxury park homes, here’s a guide to securing your retirement home at Red Deer Village. We strive to ensure a seamless experience and are here to support you every step of the way.

  • Reserve your new park home with an initial £1000 holding deposit. This comes with peace of mind knowing that once you have signed the Purchase agreement, you have a 5-day cooling off period.
  • We will also give you a copy of the Occupancy Agreement (Written Statement under the Mobile Homes Act 1983) and the Park Rules to take away with you.
  • A commitment to buy is then required one month later with a second deposit of 10% of the agreed purchase price.
  • The Occupational Agreement, (the Written Statement under the Mobile Homes Act 1983), is then required to be signed.
  • Once you pay the 10% deposit, we will reserve your home for up to six months, giving you time to sell your property and arrange your move.
  • We will then write to you notifying you when your home will be ready. You will then have a further 28 days to complete your purchase.
  • Celebrate as you move into your new luxurious ‘turn key’ home! Enjoy the benefits of private, secured and maintained park home living whilst relaxed in the knowledge that everything from your roof to your finishings are all under our manufacturers guarantees.

Legal Aspects

With no conveyancing when you purchase your new home,  you are not required to use a solicitor as you are not purchasing the land your home is situated on. You will be entering into a legal agreement with the park owners and we do advise that you seek clarification of the terms of agreement. We can help you with this and can recommend independent legal advisors who fully understand legislation. The Occupational Agreement ensures complete security of tenure allowing you to stay in your home on the park for as long as required. There is no upper age limit for occupancy. Our only stipulation is that residents comply with park regulations.
