Electric Vehicle Charging

We’ve recently installed an electric vehicle charging point next to the residents hub at Red Deer Village. Our top priority is to ensure that our park homes residents have easy access to everything they need at our over 50’s village on the outskirts of Glasgow. We are constantly exploring new ways to improve village life.

This new addition aims to make life more stress-free for everyone. The EV charger is conveniently located, so you won’t have to travel to the city or worry about finding a nearby charging spot.

The charging station is situated next to the Residents Hub – our on-site community centre. This is a great place to relax and spend time with fellow residents while your car charges.

How to Use Our Electric Vehicle Charging Points

Our electric vehicle charging stations are operated by Tap Electric. To charge your vehicle, kindly follow the steps outlined below:

The charging station will have a QR code that can be scanned with a mobile device.
The QR code will take you to the Tap Electric app, which you will have to download to use.
Once downloaded, you’ll be directed to the Red Deer Village page, where you have the option to enter as a guest or sign up for an account. We recommend creating an account if you plan on using our charging station regularly, as you’ll receive a discount. Prices are clearly displayed within the app.
Connect your car and begin charging.
You can request the app to notify you when your car is fully charged. If the charger is in use, you can ask the app to notify you when it’s free to use.

We kindly ask that you move your car once it has finished charging, so that it frees up the space for others.
